Macedonia Greece

The area of Macedonia comprises a large portion of northern Greece and has been culturally and historical important through Greek History. Because Macedonia borders Europe the area has been heavily influenced by other cultures including Turkey, Italy and Asia. Macedonia has a wide range of geographical and climate changes from soaring mountains to lush fertile coast lines.

Macedonia is the second most populated area of Greece and is one of the largest in food production, growing everything from grapes to rice and wheat. Macedonia is an extremely important tourist destination as it is easily accessed from many areas of Europe.
